Kevin J. Ryan is a journalist and author who covers business, sports, and technology. He has written and edited for publications including the Wall Street Journal, ESPN The Magazine, Inc., Fast Company, CNBC, and Quartz. He spent eight years reporting on entrepreneurship and tech startups at Inc. magazine, where he also hosted the Inc. Uncensored podcast. While writing for the Long Island Press, he received an award from the New York Press Association for his coverage of education during the Great Recession.

He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology and education from Boston College and his master’s in journalism from the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at New York University. He lives in Queens with his wife, Abbie, and their dog, Flutie.
