Kevin J. Ryan is a journalist and author who has written and edited for publications including the Wall Street Journal, ESPN The Magazine, Inc., Fast Company, CNBC, and Quartz. He spent eight years reporting on entrepreneurship and tech startups at Inc. magazine, where he also hosted the Inc. Uncensored podcast. His education coverage for the Long Island Press during the Great Recession was awarded first place in its category by the New York Press Association.

He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology and education from Boston College and his master’s in journalism from the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at New York University. He lives in Queens with his wife Abbie, their son, and their dog Flutie.
